Manufacturers of Android devices "approved" the purchase of Motorola Mobility

Google has published short quotes of CEOs Samsung, Sony-Ericsson, HTC and LG. All of them boil down to the fact that they welcome the deal and value Google’s commitment to protect Android and its partners.

I think this means that Google has already promised partners support in the patent wars and, apparently, the advantages in the form of powerful patent weapons on their side outweighed the disadvantages of possible competition from Google-Motorola.
