Google will buy Motorola Mobility for 12.5 billion dollars

Google and Motorola Mobility entered into an agreement according to which the search giant will acquire the former mobile branch of Motorola at $ 40 per share, that is, for about $ 12.5 billion.

Announcing the deal on Google’s official blog, CEO Larry Page noted the phenomenal success of the Android operating system: more than 150 million Android devices were activated worldwide, and more than 550,000 devices are activated every day.
