My Exercise PaintUp - coloring colorful sketches

When I was still a student, I had to tinker with the creation of a 3D model of a contour along isolines. The task has been reduced to modeling the grid function of 2 variables. Those. at the entrance there are points and lines thrown onto the plane (closed and unclosed) with values ​​in their heights and it is necessary to interpolate these values ​​into nodes of a certain grid on the same plane.

In the post-New Year’s weekend there was some free time for Exercises and I decided to try writing to Android. As an applied problem I decided to do some kind of drawing. This is where the experience of working with relief came in handy - I got the idea to make a coloring book. So that you can draw a lot of multicolored lines on the canvas, and then the application itself would paint this sketch into a color gradient from these color sources. In essence, the gradient construction was reduced to modeling the grid function of 2 variables: the grid is the raster pixels, the isolines are the sketch lines, the height of the isoline is the 3D RGB color vector.

As a template for drawing with my finger, I took one of the standard examples. Removed too much, added the dependence of the thickness of the pen on the speed of drawing, the palette of colors used and "undo". For greater excitement created an online gallery for the publication of sketches and drawings. Approximately in such type the application also lives. In releases I post new localizations or something simple in functionality.

Now the application on the market has about 15K downloads and about 6.5K installations. Between releases dangles within 100 - 200 free applications in its category (Games / Other).

The application is free, but with adMob. Since in itself it is international (according to statistics from the United States and Germany - more than 50% of all users), the filling in advertising is quite good, about 90%. CTR ads - 0.25%, CPM - $ 0.14
