I think that it is not a secret to anyone that any software, Internet or IT company has a problem: programmers (techies) do not always interact effectively with managers. The programmer often thinks that the manager should be a more sane person, or at least that manager should learn and begin to properly understand what he is working with.
We will not argue whether the programmer is right or not. Obviously, sometimes right and sometimes not. But I would like to find out the economic loss due to this problem. I want to calculate it in man-hours and multiply by the cost of an employee’s hour so that the head of the company can clearly see how much money the company is losing on average due to this problem.
To do this, I ask the habrauser programmers to answer in the comments 2 questions: ')
1. How many hours (minutes) do you spend per day talking to a manager?
2. What percentage of this time is wasted, in your opinion, wasted?
I wanted to make it more civilized, in the form of a questionnaire, but then I realized that it is necessary to take into account programmers by type, such as programmers who will answer:
1. 1 hour 2. 30%
And there may be programmers who answer:
1. 3 hours 2. 90%
We must understand that these answers should not be stupidly averaged. So I suffer with the processing of comments.
