Meebo overtakes Google Talk in popularity

The Meebo internet pager audience has grown four and a half times since last August and came close to 2 million (this is only in the USA). Analytical company Nielsen NetRatings has published statistics ( PDF ) on the audience of the fastest growing web pagers on the Internet. For the first time statistics was collected in August 2006, so you can see how the situation has changed over the year. It is clear that Meebo is rapidly rushing into the list of the most popular IM programs and will overtake Google Talk by the fall.
