Android App Inventor will give to Open Source

As you know, Google Labs projects are being partially liquidated : many are transferring to another roof, some are closing. Unfortunately, the sad fate befell another project from the "laboratory": Google decided to abandon the further development of the designer of Android applications App Inventor . “We are exploring ways to support the use of App Inventor as an open platform for educational purposes,” says the Google Labs blog.

The App Inventor website will run until the end of the year, but the current URL (appinventor.googlelabs.com) will change within 90 days.

Designer App Inventor allows you to make a simple Android application in just a matter of minutes, and any housewife without programming experience can do it. Choose the necessary buttons, pictures and other components in the menu - you drag the blocks onto the screen and describe the properties in a convenient and intuitive interface.
