Many manufacturers have previously shown, and even now they show discontent with Apple's patent policy. The company patents everything and everyone, including the design of their devices. Apple is also suing a large number of companies, justifying their claims by the similarity of technology and design of devices used by various manufacturers, with their own. A few months earlier, Apple even tried in court for Samsung to show in advance the drawings of its tablet, which, according to Apple, copies the design of the iPad. Then Apple did not achieve anything, but now, it seems, there is a holiday on the street of this company - its lawyers were able to achieve the prohibition of selling Galaxy Tab 10.1 in the EU.
The prohibition is temporary, it is valid for the duration of the proceedings in the lawsuit Apple. However, knowing how long such proceedings last, you can confidently talk about months of “idleness” for Samsung. The only country in the European Union where the Galaxy Tab 10.1 can still be sold is the Netherlands, it has its own laws on sales. By the way, now Apple is preparing a lawsuit against Samsung exclusively for court in the Netherlands - the corporation is going to block sales of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 in this country. Judging by the perseverance of Apple, in the Netherlands, this tablet will not last long either.

The essence of the claim of the corporation is that Samsung supposedly completely copies the design of the iPad, repeating it in their tablets. I wonder if Apple is currently facing a “copy of the design” with other manufacturers? Actually, all the tablets are similar to each other, some are like two drops of water, so you can sue the vast majority of manufacturers.
The most interesting is that Samsung is one of the largest suppliers of Apple. The latter buys flash chips, processors and RAM from Apple, which Apple installs on iPad and iPhone. In general, such a lawsuit will clearly not contribute to strengthening the relations of both companies. Well, Samsung, due to the blocking of sales of its device, will suffer significant losses.
