Hackers from the Anonymous group promised to "destroy" Facebook
Members of the Anonymous group promised to disable Facebook on November 5, accusing the management of the social network of irresponsible attitude to user data. This is stated in a video posted on YouTube on behalf of Anonymous.
It is curious that this threat appeared on July 16, but was only noticed now. ')
“Facebook sends information to the government and provides user data to security services that can spy on people all over the world,” said Anonymous. Representatives of the group believe that the service can not be free, because if the owners do not receive money from users, then they earn from the sale of their personal data.
It is emphasized that Facebook saves all changes, regardless of the privacy settings set by users of the social network. In this case, it is not possible to destroy the account, and personal data can be restored at a certain moment.
UPD : Anonymous have already managed to disown such plans. However, a little later they said that the action was probably organized by the followers of the group, and does not mean at all that all members support it.
