Many, receiving spam and virus messages on a mobile phone, simply delete them, not knowing what to do with them. Buttons “complain about spam” do not provide phone interfaces, as a result, by tacit consent of users, the mailing continues. Let's try to figure out what you can do yourself to make the world a little bit better.
Divide the messages into 2 groups - sent by the operator (“Download the new picture from the% s series and put it on the wallpaper”) and sent by the attackers (“Mom, I'm in the police, put money on the% ul phone”). And if everything was easy with the first ones, it turned out that once in 7 years of using the number, it was enough to call the MTS and ask not to send any SMS advertising, then you will not agree with the scammers.
This morning I received an SMS message from a Masha subscriber (the number was hidden) with the text “You received an MMS message. You can download it via the link ht * p: //mail-mms.ru/****** ”. Downloading the link on the PC using wget (by the way,
kostik450 absolutely correctly writes that it was a very imprudent action that threatens me
with problems ) was stopped by Kaspersky Anti-Virus with the verdict “Trojan-SMS.J2ME.Smmer.s”, the site itself is also considered suspicious.
I used to look for the MTS tech support phone on their website, called, waited, explained the situation, I was connected to the security service, I explained the situation to them again, they promised to take action and thanked for the information. It was necessary to provide the following information: your phone, the sender's phone, the contents of the message and the time of its delivery.
')
Today, in the middle of this chain, the operator interrupted me and reported on the free short number 1911, where I now need to send messages about all the facts of spam and other nastiness.
It seems to be all, but one piece of the puzzle was missing - the sender's number. But he was easily found in the “Detailed Balance Report” in the “Internet Assistant” on the MTS website. That is, there are no completely hidden numbers.
Sorry for the messy story and secure mobile communications.
www.mts.ru/help/useful_data/safety - about the number 1911, it also says that you can send e-mail to 911@mts.ru
ihelper.mts.ru/selfcare/doc-balance-report.aspx - “Detailed Balance Report” for the current month
Threat The easy googling on the site of Beeline did not reveal a similar service, I will be grateful for the information if I'm wrong.
