Skype 2.1 for Android - video calls for 17 more smartphone models

Skype promised to expand video call support when they released Skype for Android with video a couple of weeks ago. Today Skype 2.1 for Android was released, in which video support was added for 17 more phones from the most popular Android models. You can download Skype on the Android Market by accessing Skype.com/m from your phone or by scanning the QR code below.

The list of phones that have added support for video calls in Skype:

Acer a5
HTC Desire (2.2)
HTC Desire HD
HTC Evo 3D
HTC Evo 4G
HTC Flyer
HTC Incredible S
HTC Sensation
HTC Thunderbolt - Verizon (2.2) (US only)
LG Revolution - Verizon (2.2) (US only)
Samsung Droid Charge - Verizon (2.2) (US only)
Samsung Galaxy S
Samsung Galaxy S II
Samsung Galaxy Tab
Sony Ericsson Xperia mini pro
Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY
Sony Ericsson Xperia ray
')
However, if your phone is not in the list - do not be upset ...

If you have Android 2.2 (Froyo) OS or a more recent version, you can still enable video calls. Go to the Skype settings and select "enable video calling" / "enable video calls".
If you do not see such an item in the settings, then, unfortunately, your android does not meet the minimum requirements for making video calls. It is also worth bearing in mind that the video quality may not be as good as on certified devices from the list, and only the rear camera can be used on devices running 2.2 (Froyo).
In addition, Skype 2.1 for Android includes fixing some bugs and performance improvements that will make working with the application more enjoyable.
