Official webOS 3.0.2 Update for HP TouchPad

Good news for HP TouchPad tablet owners - Hewlett-Packard has released an official update with the webOS 3.0.2 operating system. The update is available “by air” (OTA) and everyone can already download it. What exactly brought the update?


The main focus of webOS 3.0.2 developers was to increase the stability of the OS and its performance. Judging by the reviews on IT-resources, the new update really cured the "childhood diseases" of the tablet and seriously increased the speed of the device.

In addition to this, the update adds the following innovations:

- the ability to install wallpaper directly from the Photos application (previously you had to open the settings panel);
- design improvements and search engine in the Calendar application;
- mail client better cope with image processing, scrolling the contents of letters and simultaneously copying multiple drafts or outgoing messages;
- Improved auto-correction of input text.
- Improvements in work with sound and video;
- Decrease of sensitivity when turning the screen;
- application pages now open in the App Catalog application, and not in an external browser;
- Acceleration of loading the application Pivot;

webOS 3.0.2 includes a couple of applications that were missing when the tablet was released: the calculator and the clock are both almost identical to those on the smartphone webOS 2.1.
