Two thirds of Moscow Internet users know what contextual advertising is.

Especially for the contextual advertising service “Runner”, the sociological company COMCON conducted a study of the popularity of contextual advertising in Moscow . The main result of the study can be called amazing. It turned out that among the weekly Moscow Internet audience, 62% know what contextual Internet advertising is. The share of people who know about contextual advertising among working users is even higher - 65%, compared to 57% in February. Among those who work in companies that advertise on the Internet, contextual advertising has an idea of ​​70% (in February this figure was 62%).

The popularity of the contextual advertising service “Runner” is also growing, although in a very indirect sense. When asked about the knowledge of companies that place contextual advertising on the Internet, more than 82% of users called the Runner advertising platforms. Only those respondents who answered positively to the question: “Do you know what contextual advertising on the Internet is?” Were polled.

In the course of the study, 1,000 respondents aged between 16 and 50 were interviewed. The survey was conducted using an Internet panel, using a representative sample and quotas for gender and age of weekly Internet users. This sample represents 2 million 309 thousand people - 38% of Moscow residents aged 16–50 who used the Internet every week.
