Despite the fact that now many services offer the best daily deals tracking service, i.e. daily promotional offers, this area is still popular. This is probably why Google has acquired a daily deals aggregator called Dealmap. The fact of the transaction was confirmed on Monday, and the terms of the transaction, traditionally, were not disclosed.
In May 2010, the Dealmap service announced that it had reached 2 million users. The aggregator shows its users "daily deals" from 450 different sources, ranked by geography. Any registered user who logs in to his account sees transactions in his region. So the Dealmap service can really be called convenient.

Google Corporation is interested in Dealmap, and as a result - the service is purchased. On the Dealmap blog, the usual message in such cases stating "that we hope for service growth and further development" is already appearing.
It is worth recalling that in December last year, Google was going to buy Groupon for $ 6 billion. After the failure of the management of this service, Google has created its own service, Google Offers, which is a competitor to Groupon. Now the "discount" service corporation operates in New York, Portland, San Francisco and Oakland, California. Soon, Google Offers should start work in Boston, Austin, Denver, Seattle and Washington.
Probably, Dealmap will become the factor that will help the “corporation of good” service to start working in new regions, and to get a couple of millions of new users. Sorry, the purchase price is not announced, it would be interesting to know how much Google paid for Dealmap.
