Android Player Review for Blackberry Playbook

Installation

1. Enable Developer Mode
2. Download DDPb Installer 1.0.7.0 (installation errors can be skipped), if you have experience developing under Blackberry, then you can install it immediately via blackberry-deploy.

Installing android applications

1. Using DDPb Installer 1.0.7.0 or via adb installl
2. Via DDPb, select the apk file and upload it, via adb, you must connect to the adb connect IP device (you need to make sure that Android Player is in developer mode), then adb install path_to.apk
3. Then you can run the installer through Android itself, using File Manager

Launch

This is still a raw version of Android Player, with all its problems:
the system itself significantly slows down, some applications do not start, the graphics sometimes produce artifacts, there is no access to the camera, and there are a lot of interesting glitches.



But! You can put the program which is not enough for the Playbook:
skype, twitter, jabber client, email client and much more, this android after all, unless of course it starts.
Despite the unstable work, heating the device, partial limitations in the launch of applications, the android player allows you to expand the scope of use of the Playbook.

I was looking for a gesture for back for quite a while, it turned out to be: swipe up from the bottom frame with two fingers, it is quite difficult because False alarms are not rare.

The only player that I launched was Rock Player, it could only play with the hardware codec, and with the software it fell, when using fit-to-screen an artifact appeared in the form of a dark band, and when using the original size everything showed normal.
Let me remind you that the default Playbook player is quite limited in codecs, especially it doesn’t like the AC3 audio codec.

It is very pleasant that applications notifications work, the left upper corner begins to overflow with colors of the rainbow.

At the entrance they ask for a phone number, the call will be forwarded if they call you.

No access to the camera. My location did not determine, but you can read and write.
