The second quarter of 2011 has come to an end: QIWI Wallet is growing steadily. Service turnover was about 14 billion rubles. The fastest growing service was money transfers in Russia and abroad - the turnover of this segment was 600 million rubles. Experts believe that the micropayment market will continue to grow. Firstly, bank cards are not very popular in Russia as a method of payment. And secondly, progress is promoted by the new services of the payment system, which appear just in those segments that show the highest growth.

According to the results of the second quarter of this year, the QIWI Wallet financial turnover amounted to about 14 billion rubles, and the average payment increased by 80%, approaching 600 rubles. The number of users sending money within the system from one purse to another increased by 842% (9.5 times). Turnover for this indicator amounted to more than 500 million rubles. This is not surprising, because such transfers are free of charge and instantly: a very convenient way for settlements for users of the system, especially for freelancers.
And given the latest news, the pace of internal transfers will continue to grow. Now money can be transferred to any person not only by his mobile phone number, but also by e-mail address. Email each time can be different, it does not register in any way in the system and is not tied to any Wallet. New mechanics ensures maximum anonymity of translations.

The popularity of online shopping with the QIWI Wallet increased by 438% (more than 2 billion rubles), and the number of online stores of the system increased from 900 to 2000. Naturally, these processes are interrelated: the more online stores
connect to the system , the More online shopping features open to users. And the more often users of the system prefer QIWI Wallet as a method of online payment, the greater the number of online stores showing their interest in the system.
