The final version of symfony2 has been released. Hooray!

Leaving behind 12 previews of releases, 5 beta versions and 6 release of candidates, the final version of Symfony2 is finally released - a contender for the title of the best framework for today, written in PHP.

At the moment, Symfony2 is the most popular project on Github in the PHP section and ranks 12th in popularity across the entire Github platform.

In just 4 months, before the final version was released, more than 400 bundles (extensions) for Symfony2 were created on Github alone. The number of developers at the time of release was about 250 and continues to grow.

Congratulations to all Symfony2 fans with such a significant event and I wish everyone who took part in the development, do not stop and continue to delight the PHP-world with quality products!
