On July 12, the sixth meeting of the Apple Developers Community was held in St. Petersburg. The meeting discussed the development and testing of applications for the iPhone and iPad.
Vladimir Gorbenko “Using Blocks in Objective-C”;
Alexander Dodatko “Continuous integration for iOS applications”;
Anatoly Larin "Automatic testing of the interface of iPhone applications."
Despite the fact that half an hour before the start of the meeting, unstable St. Petersburg weather strongly set us up, giving us unreal rainfall, a lot of people came. The hall was full to capacity.
The first guest was the same guest from EPAM from Dnipropetrovsk - Vladimir Gorbenko ( moborb ). Being responsible in his company for mobile development, Vladimir had something to tell the sophisticated public.
In his report, he spoke about the use of blocks in Objective-C . What are blocks? How to use them? How to manage the order of their execution? Vladimir answered these and other questions in his report.
The next speaker was a colleague of Vladimir from Dnepropetrovsk - Alexander Dodatko . Alexander has experience with low level network libraries in c ++ (openSSL, libtorrent, etc.), and in his company is a specialist in mobile foreinsic.
In his report “Continuous integration for iOS applications”, Alexander addressed issues related to the organization of the project structure, building and deploying libraries and applications, as well as unit testing and setting up a build server.
In general, the meeting can be called successful. We finally made a normal online broadcast, for which thanks to our partner - the company ITmozg . The attendance record has also been updated, not least thanks to our other partner, HackDay .
We are always open to cooperation, with any suggestions you can write in a personal.
On August 16, the seventh meeting will take place, at which we will move a little away from the technical aspects and talk about the promotion of applications in the Apple Store, the financial prospects of iPhone developers and many other things.
ps special thanks to charming Mary for decorating our post.
