Mango has moved to the status of RTM and it presents the first smartphone



On Tuesday, the latest version of the Windows Phone operating system, codenamed Mango, has moved to RTM (Release To Manufacturing) status.

This means that the Mango development has been completed and the platform code has been transferred to manufacturers and mobile operators to optimize for specific phones and network configurations. The Mango update will be ready this fall for current Windows Phone phones and will be pre-installed on new phones.

In addition, today, on Wednesday, Fujitsu Toshiba introduced the world's first device on Mango in Japan.

The phone is called IS12T with a waterproof 3.7-inch WVGA-display equipped with a Qualcomm MSM8655 processor. It will go on sale in September or a bit later in the au network of the Japanese operator KDDI. The phone has a 13.2 megapixel autofocus camera with 32 gigabytes of flash memory, as well as regular Bluetooth (2.1 + EDR) and Wi-Fi (802.11b / g / n).
