The number of unique visits to the Google+ service exceeded 20 million (according to
ComScore ).
Google doesn’t confirm these figures, but last week Larry Page
reported that over 10 million users use the service, leaving about 1 billion messages a day (including all sorts of sharing).
')
“I have never seen such an active growth,” said Andrew Lipsman, an analyst at ComScore.
So what's next?
It is already clear that Google+ will not be such a failure as Buzz.
Business and brand pagesTo the dismay of companies and brands wishing to use the rapidly growing G + audience to increase the traffic to their sites, Google imposes a restriction on using personal G + accounts. Accounts that will be associated exclusively with the business will be banned.
It is reported that the G + platform is not yet designed to work with the business, but Google assures that it will develop a separate system for business accounts.
In other words, the faceless pages on G + with profiles of organizations containing only information about the company and links to its resources will be deleted. Product Manager Christian Ostlin
recommends that companies use for this purpose a profile of a real employee of the organization who will talk about it within their personal account and represent the company on their own behalf.
GamesThe fact that there will be games in G + is not a secret to anyone (see small hints at this in the
source code and
not only ).
Google is already investing hundreds of millions of dollars in
Farmville and
Zynga as a whole. It is reported that the game will be integrated into the stream in such a way that your friends do not have to constantly receive notifications about the status of your farm (if they themselves do not want to).
Integration with other servicesG + will be linked to the rest of Google’s social services, allowing users to share GoogleDocs, YouTube videos and more with Circles. For now, integration is limited to notifications in Gmail, Maps and several more services, but over time the circle will expand.
