Google Inc. gained control over the domain Google.UA

Google has defended the right to google.ua domain in court. Recall that this domain for a long time belonged to the company "GOU OGLE". When trying to open the site google.ua users were redirected to the dating site "Kohaymos".

Google defended the domain in court on July 16, but now all the necessary formalities were completed and the domain was really delegated to Google Inc.

The google.ua domain was delegated to the Ukrainian company GOU OGLE, which in 2006 could register the trademarks of TM Google i Go Ogle in classes 9 (scientific instruments, computers, cash registers and counting machines) and 45 (social, security services, marriage agencies), resulting in gaining control of the domain in the zone .UA.

Despite lengthy litigation, the court decided the domain dispute in favor of Google Inc. This decision could be a precedent for other disputed domains in the .UA zone, for example, interfax.ua, fortune.ua, naftogaz.ua ...

In order to more quickly resolve such issues in the future, Hostmaster plans to move to the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP) - a uniform domain dispute resolution policy in accordance with WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization Arbitration and Mediation Center) practice.
