On the last weekend of summer, on August 27 and 28, 2011, the computer art festival Chaos Constructions 2011 will be held in St. Petersburg

The festival will reopen its doors to programmers, administrators, artists, designers, musicians, hackers, and anyone interested in computer technology. Every year the scope of the festival expands. The festival originates from the distant 1995, when in Russia only events of the “demoparty” format began to appear. The team of organizers of Chaos Constructions consists of experienced and well-known representatives of the Russian demoscene, who previously participated in the ENLiGHT festival.
The organizers set themselves the task of giving Chaos Constructions visitors and participants a unique atmosphere of informal communication, new discoveries, vivid impressions and amazing images created by talented digital artists. The festival organizers took into account last year's overlays with prizes; therefore, in 2011, the festival's prize fund is much more than the previous ones, authors of worthy works can count on good prizes. For example, the winners of intro and demo contests will be awarded with video cards. For 4k - nVidia GeForce GTX 480 or higher, 64k / demo - nVidia GeForce GTX 460 or higher.
Also, due to the fact that not for the first year Quite group collects the first places of the festival in demo contests, this year they decided to give dear to young stage designers and not to compete with them:
The Quite group, according to the citizens of Preston and Unc, intends to participate in their work outside the competition. Moreover, the group said it adds to the prize fund of the video card.
It is also worth noting that this year the well-known “Selectel” data center network became the gold sponsor of the festival this year .
