Gmail now supports multi-channel phone calls.

Probably, each of us got into a situation when we were asked to “wait on the line”, and had to wait, listening to all sorts of different melodies. By the way, most of the more or less modern mobile phone models now also support talking on several lines, with the possibility of switching some subscribers to the standby mode. This opportunity now provides and Gmail from Google.

According to the official blog post of the service, this new feature allows you to leave some subscribers in the standby mode on the line, answering a call on another line. True, your pending companion will be bored because Google has not thought about the possibility of connecting those very "exciting" melodies for those who are waiting. The only limitation of the multichannel system of calls to Google Gmail is that the system supports two simultaneous outgoing calls if you call ordinary numbers.

And yes, as always, lucky Canadians and Americans who can make free calls using the Google Phone, including video calls. But what to do, those of us who do not live in the United States or Canada, have become accustomed to such injustices. There's nothing you can do.
