Linux received a video from Microsoft as a present for its 20th anniversary
In April, the Linux Foundation announced the launch of a video contest for the twentieth anniversary of Linux. The winner will be announced in August at LinuxCon North America 2011 .
Among the participants of the competition was a somewhat unexpected fan of Linux: Microsoft introduced its video with the congratulations of the free platform.
The video begins with a hint of the strained relationship between Microsoft and Linux with the phrase “Microsoft vs. Linux. It then shows how Tux (the official Linux talisman) turns away from the cake donated to his birthday by Microsoft. After a brief description of the history of the relationship between Microsoft and Linux, everything ends with a reconciliation: Tux takes the cake in his igloo, and the video ends with the words “Happy Birthday” and correcting the first phrase to “Microsoft and Linux?” ')
