New video service Yota Play

On Monday, we presented our new video service - Yota Play.

Yota Play is a new way to independently select and watch movies on TV and any other devices that have an Internet connection.





This service is designed for people who like TV for simplicity, convenience and comfort, but do not like airtime television, because they want to choose what, how and when to watch.

The main goal of our new video service is to provide comfortable viewing of films in high quality through any Internet provider in the territory of the Russian Federation. The video service is preinstalled on the entire line of Smart TVs by Samsung and LG. You can connect other TVs to it using devices with Yota Play support, for example, from the new line of Blu-Ray players and Samsung home theaters.

From July 18, the service will work on the Samsung Smart TV lineup, on the newest line of Samsung Blu-ray players and home theaters, as well as on personal computers running Windows and Mac OS. Later, it will be available on the entire line of Samsung Smart TV and Samsung Internet @ TV, LG Smart TV, the latest line of Blu-ray players and LG, iPad and iPhone home theaters, as well as on tablet computers and smartphones based on Android OS. Facebook integration will begin on July 18; with movie sites - from July 25th.



An important part of the service is its social functionality. It is integrated with the Facebook network and allows you to choose movies through the news feed of friends, where their opinions and viewing history are displayed. In the future, we intend to integrate with all significant social networks. The first contenders for the queue are VKontakte and Twitter.

We also agreed on a partnership with the sites: afisha.ru, kinopoisk.ru, filmz.ru, imhonet.ru, kg-daily.ru, kino-kadr.ru, kinomania.ru, lookatme.ru



Another feature of Yota Play is the size of the catalog, which includes thousands of licensed films from libraries of leading Hollywood, European and Russian film studios. At the moment, Yota Play has contracts with the Walt Disney Company, Warner Bros., Sony Pictures and NBC Universal.

We want to be the most convenient service for watching movies, so we will constantly add the most requested features. Our task is to be available on all devices that the user has, so we will connect new ones. To always have something to watch on Yota Play, about 200 films will be added every week (now 2000 films are available on Yota Play). Earn a new model of use - subscription. And for connoisseurs, we will make available the original audio track and subtitles. In addition, it will be possible to watch movies in HD. We are also preparing a few surprises for our users, about which so far we will not say anything.
