Yesterday, in our Skolkovo Innovation Center, our project
Workle was officially granted the status of a resident innograd.

We got the opportunity to look at the work of the center from the inside and tell you what Skolkovo’s real utility is for startups:
')
Anticipating the question “ How did you get to Skolkovo? ”, Let's answer: we created a working prototype, thousands of kilometers traveled in search of mentors, collected 3 kg of documents for Skolkovo, submitted an application, conducted a couple of dozen presentations and, voila! We are inside.
In honor of what we declare: an ordinary startup (without ties to the government, etc.) may well get into the innograd and get a state one. support Checked on yourself.UPD: we remind you that the project is working in
test mode .
Benefit # 1: Tax Credits
Adoption in Skolkovo allows great savings on the implementation, development and support of the project in the first 10 years of its work:
- the company is exempted from paying income tax;
- property necessary for research activities (including office computers, servers, and even software) is acquired without VAT and customs duties (if delivered from abroad);
- all insurance premiums for company employees (pension, medical, social) are reduced to 14 percent.
An additional “bun” is the possibility of a free invitation to foreign specialists and the payment of their insurance premiums for the above rate (14%) instead of the standard (more than 30%).
Benefit # 2: Expert assistance
There are 5 clusters of Skolkovo:
- energy and energy efficient technologies;
- biomedical technology;
- nuclear technology;
- computer technology;
- space technology.
Each cluster has its own composition of experts (domestic or foreign) who supervise and help the projects of this cluster. Workle was in the IT cluster; his experts include
David Yan (founder of ABBYY),
Alexander Turkot (worked at IBM, led MySpace Russia),
Oleg Syutin (director of technology at Microsoft), etc. In the near future we will receive from them a list of recommendations for improving the project.
Benefit # 3: Information Support
Over the last day, Workle was mentioned in more than 20 media outlets (
RIA-NOVOSTI ,
ITAR-TASS ,
Izvestia ,
Unova, and others). + hundreds of blogs and microblogs, which were followed by a wave of news about new residents of Skolkovo.
Also, as practice shows, the mention that “we work with Skolkovo” greatly simplifies communication with partners and investors. Solid benefits.
Epilogue
Joy is not limited to the list above; There are dozens of additional benefits, such as the possibility of moving to the Skolkovo innograd in 2014 or guaranteeing the efficiency of the center, subject to the personal participation of President Dmitry Medvedev (headed by the Board of Trustees).
However, this is not the point of the center. The main goal of Skolkovo is to create the domestic sphere of high technologies from almost nothing. Let them with the Russian mentality (everyone understands) and the traditional slowness of the giants, but still master this almost impossible task.
Now Skolkovo is raising on its shoulders a huge layer of ideas and projects: creating an artificial heart, cancer treatment, solving unemployment problems and many other technologies that will change our life with you.
We are pleased to have the opportunity to make our own contribution to this good cause.PS Additional information about the project and its team can be obtained on the pages of our blog .
