We know what you're thinking, or glasses worthy of Dr. Lightman.

Dr. Rosalind Picard, a scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, has developed glasses that read a person’s facial expressions and report what he thinks about at the time of the conversation.
According to the developers, the glasses are designed to help their owners really find out, and not just try to guess the thoughts and ideas of other people about your own person.

As the London Daily Mail ’s online edition emphasizes, these unusual laboratory laborers, glasses that function in the streetlight format, may be especially useful, for example, during a first date with a potentially interesting item - a girl.
The peculiarity of the invention lies in the fact that “x-ray glasses” “penetrating into the soul” of other people promise to help the owner understand his counterparts - what do they think about him? For this purpose, a video camera the size of a rice grain is built into the glasses.
The eye of the video camera "reads" the facial expressions of the object of interest and sends the information thus obtained to a miniature computer, which can be easily attached, for example, to the body.

In the course of a conversation with the "object of attention" on the first date computer, using special software developed by MIT, analyzes the main facial movements and facial features of the interlocutor, reflecting the emotional state and reaction to the partner's words.
Then the computer, comparing the results obtained with a database that contains persistent expressions of people's faces, sends signals to the owner — to a miniature microphone inserted into an ear hole like those used by undercover agents, and to one of the glasses, where a kind of streetlight lights up. traffic light".

Thus, there is a "decoding" of the thoughts of another person:

"Red light" means that your partner perceives you negatively.

The “yellow light” of the traffic light indicates a “moderate interest” to your person.

Well, "green", as it should be, speaks of a favorable attitude towards you!

It is a pity that for the time being this engineering miracle from the University of Massachusetts cannot be found in stores.
The study showed that the average person with the naked eye is able to determine the facial expressions of the interlocutor with 54 percent accuracy. The software platform specially developed for these points raises this indicator to the level of 64% and the developers do not stop at what they have achieved: they continue to improve the invention further.

The camera is built into the rim of the glasses, which tracks the position of 24 points defining one or another facial expression. The position of the points is compared with information from the database, and the system defines the following expressions: thinking, concentration, interest, confusion, agreement and disagreement. The authors of the development declared their intention to commercialize their invention, it will be used to establish contact with children suffering from autism, and also as an auxiliary system when conducting business negotiations.
