Google Music app overview

Some time ago there was a lot of noise around Google Music - guesswork, rumors and other shocking news after Google I / O, invites , and even reviews . Somewhere at that time I signed up for an invite, and, by some, one google in a known way, this invite got to my mailbox today. I hasten to share my impressions and today we will discuss only the Android application, a lot has already been said about the web version.

First of all, the application is available in the Market with the mark “Available in the US by invitation only”, but you can easily get the apk file by searching google music apk 3.0.1 .

')

After the first launch, the application will inform you that it will become attached to the account and the music on the site and on the device will become common. Now this rule operates in one direction: the music available on the site is also available on the device. The music, which was already on the device, will remain available so far for playback only on the device, without the possibility of uploading to the site.

The player almost completely copies the standard player that comes in the delivery, simply called Music and immediately begins to fight for the right to play music with the original.

In the player interface, nothing outstanding or fundamentally new was invented. Everything is familiar. A special feature can only be called the behavior of the background - it changes colors all the time and in every way “worries”.

Further interesting things begin. In the list of tracks available for listening, there are both tracks available on the device itself - the application doesn’t even ask, all the music played by the standard player was automatically here, as well as tracks added via the web interface (to be more precise, via Music Manager). Playback occurs without any additional dialogues: all the music is just being played. It is possible to make music offline, i.e. download. Reverse operation, i.e. There is no music upload to the site from the device, at least for now.

Of course, there are playlists and so on. instant mixes, which arbitrarily compose playlists of 25 tracks according to a certain algorithm, starting with a single “starting” track.

Only one settings page remains and this is where the application ends.

That's all that you can now tell about Google Music on Android. As an output, you can add that the synchronization, which everyone wanted so much, is present and implemented conveniently. Now it is the most significant feature that distinguishes Google Music from analogs and promises many prospects. 20 000 songs that can be downloaded to the site and slowly listened to on the device, download as needed - this is a good collection (the lack of the Music Manager version for the Linux community is only disturbing: there is only Windows and Mac).

What will happen next, Google will show.
