Asian Internet publications finally shared a small piece of information on the upcoming chip, built using 45-nanometer technology standards. In particular, it became known that the first 45-nm processor will be a quad-core Core 2 Extreme, which can be seen on sale in the fourth quarter of this year. In any case, motherboard manufacturers are confidently talking about this. The processor itself, whose model number is still unknown, operates at a frequency of 3.33 GHz (1333 MHz FSB) and contains 12 MB of cache in the second level. The cost of the "stone" will be 999 US dollars - the price, of course, wholesale.
After a short time after the release of the first 45nm processor, Intel intends to release a number of chips: two quad-core (1333 MHz FSB and 12 MB L2 cache) and four dual-core, three of which will be characterized by a FSB frequency of 1333 MHz and 6 MB L2 cache, one is 1066 MHz FSB and 3 MB of L2 cache.
One thing is bad - Intel representatives have not yet given any official comments on this information.
