Face.com is known as a software developer used to recognize faces in various photos. Quite a long time ago, the company added a smile recognition function, and now other emotions have been added: surprise, anger, happiness (actually, the same smile), sadness and a neutral facial expression.
The technology developed by Face.com can be used for websites or regular applications. The range of uses for such a technology is quite wide - from games to user identification systems by facial expression (yes, you can come up with one).

At the same time, the determination of the emotional state of a person, whose photo is uploaded to a website using Face.com technology, is carried out by the service itself, which processes the photos. A website with a “screwed” application from Face.com will only show the result. Perhaps photo hosting sites will be able to use this technology to automatically split portrait photos into the emotional component.
One of the services, Moodbattle, has already used the new feature to entertain its users. The latter send photos with various facial expressions, most of which can be shown in horror films. Yes, not so many users send banal smiles, the most part - all sorts of "curse words". But, actually, this was to be expected.
The Chief Executive Officer of Face.com said that over the past month about two billion different photos were processed, and the service technology has been used by more than 20 thousand developers.
