Unofficial clients are now official.

There is no question more painful than alternative clients for ICQ, but recently it has become a little less painful - we have signed licensing agreements with the authors of several products: qutIM, MDC, Palringo and IM +.

All of the above clients, except IM +, are non-commercial and signed the basic version of the agreement (to be precise, we changed a few words in it for the MDC), IM + also made some material concessions in exchange for a transition to the legal field.

If you look from the users, most of whom are likely to be indifferent to the issues of profits and ownership, then
- qutIM users and companies received a guarantee that their favorite customers began to receive technical support and timely information about new protocol features;
- ICQ users, who for some reason have ceased to be organized by an official client, have a choice of alternative ones that, for sure (“confirmed by ICQ”) will not steal the password and will not use the entered data for spam.

We are confident that the business will not be limited to these four clients, the process of legalization will continue.
