Open lecture by Sir Tony Hoare: "The greatest ideas of computer science"





Friends are pleased to announce that Sir Tony Hoar will come to us very soon (the one who invented the fast sorting and the logic of Hoare, whose research team was working on the Z specification language and a parallel model of interaction between sequential processes, and today is the leading researcher at Microsoft Research in Cambridge) .



In the framework of the Skolkovo Open University, Tony Hoar will give a lecture on “ The Greatest Ideas of Computer Science ”.

Great ideas are timeless. They appear repeatedly in human thought, in different thoughts and in various forms. A leading researcher at Microsoft Research in Cambridge will trace the particularly important technological ideas of the Ancient Greeks and voice philosophical questions that scientists have not yet found the answers to.



The lecture will be held on July 25 in the Polytechnic Museum (Moscow).
