Are you building a project? Get the prize!

Habrayuzer, the process is in full swing, in which you should definitely take part!

Intel, together with the Skolkovo Development Fund, organize a competition for research and development in the field of computer and information technologies “Computer Continuum: From Idea to Implementation”. In addition to us, this initiative is supported by such companies as Kaspersky Lab, ABBYY, as well as government entities: Moscow State University and the supercomputer consortium of Russian universities.

The purpose of the competition is simple - we want to jointly support research and development, new computer and information technologies, in a word - everything that can bring success to the creators of the project. For these purposes, Intel has allocated a million rubles, which will be distributed among the winners.

Projects at various stages of development may take part in the competition, although it makes no sense to conceal the fact that preference will be given to those who are close to the final stage of development and entering the mass market. If you are involved in or leading the creation of new scientific, engineering solutions or building a business in the field of high-performance computing, this is for you. In the end, even mobile application developers can rightfully expect to succeed in this competition. We invite everyone, from students to experienced founders of startups, to take part in the Continuum.

Applications are accepted until October 31, 2011 on the website www.intel.ru/contest .

Prize fund

Depending on the execution and elaboration of the project, the winners of the competition have the opportunity to receive a certain amount of money or another prize from the partners of the competition.

- 1,000,000 rubles from Intel Corporation.
- 150 000 rubles from the company "RSK SKIF".
- 1,000,000 processor hours of work on clusters of the Supercomputer consortium.
- Licenses for Intel software and other competition partners.

The creators of the project, which according to the jury will be the best among all submitted, will be awarded a Grand Prix in the amount of 400,000 rubles from Intel, and the other three winners in each of the nominations will receive 200,000 rubles.

In addition, the winners of the competition will be nominated (if they wish, of course) to participate in the Skolkovo project and are awarded diplomas of winners and laureates of the competition - there will be 10 such diplomas in each category.

Anyway, Intel will help everyone with at least some significant project, having considered it within the framework of various support programs, for a couple with Skolkovo. All the organizers and partners of the competition will look for interesting creations, and we will be able to offer their creators participation in the mentoring program, technical support, business incubation, early access to products and services, and so on.

Despite a fairly serious prize fund, by Russian standards, none of the organizers or partners will ask for a “share” for participation - the exclusive rights to any materials submitted for the competition belong and remain reserved to their authors or rightholders.

For more information about the competition (thematic areas, the procedure for consideration of applications, the jury, the timing, etc.) read on the website of Intel .
