An archive of works by Leonardo da Vinci will appear on the Internet.
In the near future thousands of drawings and drawings by Leonardo da Vinci will appear on the Internet. The European Union funds the Leonardo Digitale website, which will house the graphic works of the great artist, according to the Telegraph newspaper.
While the site is under construction. Prior to its discovery, most of the drawings and illustrations for da Vinci’s inventions could only be seen by specialists with access to the archives. But the Leonardo National Museum in his hometown promised to prepare and scan about 12 thousand pages of his works and create a digital archive.
At the moment, about a quarter of the documents are ready for publication on the Internet. “We are still at the very beginning of the journey, but we hope to collect and present many more drawings,” says Romano Nanni, director of the library, Leonardo.

The researchers explain this by saying that Da Vinci was left-handed, and since in those days he wrote with goose feathers, he wrote in the opposite direction so as not to smear the writing. Secondly, many documents of different meanings are mixed: technical instructions often coexist with a shopping list.
