Fake Google + invitations are used to steal bank information.

Approximately such a letter was recently received by some users from Portugal. This letter is a fake invitation to the social network Google+, the mass mailing of which was recently recorded by Kaspersky Lab experts. The letter contained two links: google *****. Redirectme.net and the document in Google Docs. Going over the first one, the download of the previously known Trojan Banker program, designed to steal user information related to banking systems, electronic money systems and plastic cards, began. The second link was a document in which there was a fake form, offering to enter the email addresses of your friends and invite them. Thus, the trojan is equipped with a reliable distribution channel.

So the situation is commented on by Fabio Assolini, an expert at Kaspersky Lab:

“Malefactors often play on human curiosity and gullibility. In this case, the victim herself follows the malicious link, infecting his computer. If you want to join the Google+ network, be on the lookout and only open letters from your acquaintances with whom you have previously agreed on such an invitation. ”

Fortunately, such cases have not yet been registered in Russia. But caution never interferes.
