BlackBerry loses stake under the pressure of Android

The latest figures show that Google Android continues its impressive growth in the market, with Apple growing more slowly.

And what if you look at RIM? He is rapidly falling. Only a year ago, more than 40% of American smartphones were BlackBerry. Now it is less than 25% of the market according to comScore. And despite the incredibly fast growth of the smartphone market — still only a third of US mobile subscribers have smartphones.

In Business Insider, Jay Yarow posted this chart earlier this week. You lead, as Android grows, and RIM falls.

What does this tell us? In the mobile OS market, no leadership is safe. The market is changing incredibly fast.

Thanks to two-year contracts and relatively low switching prices, today's winner may be the loser of tomorrow. That is why Android was able to grow so fast. And this is also how Android could quickly go into decline if it loses its loyalty among smartphone manufacturers.

Now the main question: How high can Android get? After all, it is already approaching 40%. I do not think it will be higher than 60% next year, we will see. Microsoft has not been able to impose the fight. Will there be new Apple iPhones?
