Just a few weeks ago, Skype introduced the ability to chat with your friends on Facebook, “like” and comment on Facebook posts, directly from the Skype application. Today we are pleased to announce that the partnership of Skype and Facebook extends further, and now we are ready to offer you the opportunity to communicate with the video right on Facebook. For us, this is an important event, because this is the first big step of Skype on the web, and because we know that it can create even more opportunities for online communication and make the way we use the web even more “social”.
The partnership with Facebook also has an important business component for Skype, as it allows us to offer our products for audio and video calls to more than 750 million active Facebook users.
Together, we developed a great solution in which Skype offered an optimized version of its desktop application, and Facebook deeply introduces it into its website so that users can enjoy all the benefits of video messaging.

Getting started using
Skype Skype video calls is easy and simple. Make sure your Facebook status is “Online” and you are ready to chat. You can start a video call directly from the chat window, or go to your friend's profile, and if you’re online, you will see the “Call” button in the upper right corner of the page. If your friend does not respond, you can leave a video message to him. Your video message will be waiting for your friend in his Inbox when he comes to check for fresh messages.
We hope you enjoy this exciting new Facebook and Skype collaboration product. And since you’re on Facebook, why not take a look at
the Skype page there to learn more, share your impressions, and say that you like “Skype”.
