Full-text articles from RSS for your reader using Caliber
The topic has been raised several times. However, from simple and interesting solutions, only (for me) Readbox.info (online) and nmdParser (offline) stand out . Both tools have good capabilities, but I wanted a more elegant solution, since it is much more convenient to read on a reader a specialized device for reading without much suffering on my part.
Therefore, I opted for the Caliber program, as I still use it to organize the library and generate collections on the device. The RSS client in the program is very convenient, and despite the need for some knowledge to create the tape, after setting up the tape and updating, further manipulations are no longer needed. You can also note the cross-platform program and a large number of supported formats.
Next will be a small howto with pictures.
I recommend to immediately switch to the advanced mode, since the normal mode is inconvenient.

This tape should already work, but unfortunately Calibre lacks the functionality of the Readability service, and it draws the full text of the article not in all cases, so you need to make additional gestures, pointing out the elements describing the main text. It's easier for me to use the Firebug extension for Firefox. The algorithm is something like this: open the Firebug panel → find the elements of interest (highlighted) → add the rules for “isolating” the text:
For beauty, add a cover, remove styles and java scripts, prescribe language / tags / information:
These are ready-made settings. Save settings:
In order to download the tape, you need to do the following "fraud":
Without closing the dialog, we will set up automatic news feed:
After this, the settings will be duplicated in the list.
