GoDaddy sold for $ 2.25 billion

Somehow, unexpectedly (at least for me), there was news that GoDaddy, one of the world's largest companies - domain registrars / hosters, sold for 2.25 billion dollars. Buyers in this case were the three investment funds KKR & Co, Silver Lake Partners and Technology Crossover Ventures. Bob Parsons, the current CEO and founder of GoDaddy, believes that the new owners of the company will be able to provide even more active, than now, growth GoDaddy.

This company is now at the peak of its development, and really is a tasty morsel for many investment funds. Over the past three years, the company's business has grown, and from 2009 to 2010, the company's revenue amounted to 947 million US dollars. In 2011, GoDaddy’s expected revenue is around $ 1.1 billion. It is worth noting that GoDaddy currently has about 48 million domains in service.

These three companies - the buyer are going to invest in GoDaddy significant funds for the development of a new business for themselves. GoDaddy offers its customers a wide range of services, starting with registering and servicing domains, and ending with hosting and servicing large-scale resources with high attendance.

New investments in the company's assets will be spent on the purchase of additional equipment, expansion and renewal of GoDaddy network infrastructure. It seems that the actively developing company will soon develop more actively.

And GoDaddy is famous for its advertising, here is one of their characteristic examples:

Apparently, such advertising allows the company to win all new customers.
