More than 80 ideas have already been sent to SumIT. These ideas are rarely thought-out solutions, supported by a detailed analysis of the market. Rather, they simply reflect the needs of our users. What are they missing?
Even a quick glance at the list of ideas is enough to understand: people want to bring more and more virtual elements into reality. They regret that I cannot make a right click on the girl passing by and select the “Properties” item in the drop-down menu, so they offer to place QR codes on their T-shirts with links to a personal blog or a photo taken on a mobile phone, to get an assessment of the girl’s appearance .
The basis is always the desire to get additional information about the real object: by the car number , product barcode in the store or - for ease of analysis and advanced functionality - the QR code .
At the same time, the face of usual convenience sometimes overlaps, people want to put the responsibility for making decisions on the application: where to take the girl or how to behave . This trend is somewhat alarming. We still laugh at dystopias, in which robots are gradually crowding out people, and do not take them seriously. However, every year it becomes more and more difficult to answer the question, and what is it that we, the people, can do better machines.

At one time, the success of VKontakte was due not to the fact that he was able to attract many Internet users, but to the fact that he was able to make those who hadn’t been them before. So far, augmented reality remains a toy for advanced IT-Schnick, but in this area there will be a turning point. If you want to make money on it, you should not miss this moment and, perhaps, even become its initiator. In view of the huge variety of possible applications, the most promising is the creation of one or several universal platforms.
