HP thought about promoting webOS

Hewlett Packard, swallowed up in 2010, Palm Inc. - the developer of the mobile webOS operating system - against the background of the success of Android and iOS, thought about the possibility of distributing WebOS on devices from other vendors.

We are discussing this with many companies, and I can tell you [the journalists ] that a large number of companies have shown interest in this. We are continuing negotiations.

A little later, unnamed sources at HP noticed that their partner could be Samsung Electronics, which is interested in versioning systems on its devices. However, while Epoteker also did not confirm this possibility, indicating only negotiations with the Korean vendor.

Thus, it is likely that in the near future, the global market will receive another strong competitor in the market of electronic devices.
