Memian is one address book for all devices. Running a beta version

Some time ago, me and several other crushing enthusiasts (developer, designer and one unidentifiable employee) united the question of life, the universe and in general: how to keep all contacts and maintain their relevance? Hundreds of names, addresses, phone numbers - all of this is scattered across each of us through social networks, mailboxes, and telephones. But the phones are lost, the social networks in a certain sense too, the contacts themselves become obsolete, and you are surprised to discover that you are not Kim Pick to keep all this in your head. MobileMe / iCloud is a great paid thing - but only within a known ecosystem. The Google Address Book is perhaps even better, but it doesn’t know how to teleport contacts to my Nokia or update phone numbers if the owners change them. And so on. Meanwhile, the circle of friends, colleagues and partners is expanding at the speed of the CMB, and, of course, most of all these new addresses and numbers quickly turn into elusive dark matter for the same reasons. It is embarrassing to say how much time it took for us, but we pushed through the deadline and opened the beta version of Memiany , a single notebook that we would like to submit first to the court.

If you make a stern face, Memian is 1) a cloud service for storing contact information, 2) capable of automatically synchronizing with desktop and mobile address books, 3) a person’s business card on the Internet (the latter is probably a dessert detail, but still ).

Features

1. Sync everything. The task is to achieve compatibility even with an iron. Now your address book on Memian can be synchronized with iOS, Android, Windows Mobile, with Gmail, Outlook, Mac OS X address book. Plus with devices that support SyncML protocol. Moreover, any content is synchronized, even those causing a headache of the field, which are only in one phone model.

2. Automatic update of contacts. If you change information about a friend in a mobile phone or a friend (a user of “Memyana”) he changed it himself, these changes are automatically entered into your address book on “Memyan”. Moreover, these edits are immediately taken into account in all synchronized phones and email programs.

3. Total control over contacts. No information in the address book can be replaced without the knowledge of the owner, who decides how the contacts should look, even if they are updated automatically and to whom they should be shown in the public profile on the site. Plus there is a log of edits in the contact information. Plus, you can determine which addresses and phone numbers of each of your contacts should be on those or other devices and programs.

4. Correct transfer of contacts from old phones. And almost no matter what operating system. Even if it is a transition from "Nokia" to the android or iPhone.

5. Import and export contacts in vCard format.

6. Search and merge duplicates - duplicate names, addresses, numbers, etc.

I would like to give a dozen more points, but this will not be enough, because the work on the site continues. In the near future, for example, we are going to add a calendar, synchronize the service with several more devices and make the search a hundred thousand five hundred times more cunning.

It is clear that we really want Memian to become the main means of storing address information for as many users as possible. Therefore, we strongly encourage you to test the strength of the site - registration is free (authorization through G and FB is provided). We will be very grateful for constructive criticism. Maybe we missed something? Did you not? And still have not answered the main question?
