Avast is one of the most well-known and sought-after antivirus programs for Windows, soon to be released for Android OS.

Avast technical director, Ondrej Vlcek, commented on this news with the statement: “Smartphones are more susceptible to certain types of attacks [...] We believe that people with smartphones are in a high risk zone and therefore they need security. ” As a rule, most users know what they are doing and do not need such programs. But beginners do not always know the functionality of their phones and therefore must be fully protected. The Android app will include a VPN connection and allow users to provide secure access to the Internet.

Antivirus for Android will appear in the 4th quarter of this year and will be available for free download.
