Create For Millions - competition for developers and users of mobile applications

We want to share with you an interesting event. Today we are launching a global competition called “Create For Millions” . Participants in the competition can become not only mobile software developers for the Series 40 platform, but also ordinary users who have a lot of ideas on what applications they really need. For developers

Let's start with the incentive that we offer for developers. The prize fund of the competition is 1 million Euro. We offer participants to come up with and develop applications for Nokia Series 40 phones in four categories:

• News and information - news and geo-location information applications.
• Fun and games - games and entertainment applications.
• Social networks - social networking applications.
• Knowledge and education are applications for a healthy lifestyle, education and others.

For each category there are 10 prizes, while the cost of the prize for the first place in each category will be 50 000 Euro. In addition, with the authors of the best applications, we will study and help improve interfaces, help bring the resulting product to the market and much more. Separate prizes await developers in the categories “Best Touch Application”, “Best Location Application”, and “Best Web Application for Series 40”.

Perspectives

We pay great attention to the Series 40 platform, as it plays a key role in the next billion Internet connectivity strategy, primarily in developing countries. As you probably for the first time in these countries, for the first time, users access the Internet from a mobile phone.
