Scammers hacked an ATM with a standard password

Two unknown persons stole a thousand and a half dollars from an ATM located in one of the stores in Pennsylvania, using the usual instructions from the money machine.

Anyone who gets this document will know that the standard password for access to all ATM functions is “123456” (in that ill-fated ATM, the password was not changed and was valid from the day it was installed). Using this knowledge, the criminals reprogrammed the ATM so that it would give out twenty-dollar bills instead of one-dollar ones.

The owner of the store, who pawned these same notes into a money machine (we do this at least under the supervision of a machine gunner), said that he was far from the equipment, and his business was to put money and look at the statement at the end of the day.

The police is engaged in this business since June of this year, but the investigation has not yet yielded any results.
