As with
WordPress 3.1 , we are here again to keep you updated on the WordPress 3.2 innovations. After the delay in the release of WordPress 3.1, the goal of the developers was to increase the speed of release of new versions. Mark Jaquith manages this personally to make sure that everyone in the team is maximally focused on the quickest possible solution of problems. So, let's see what will be interesting in WordPress 3.2.
Note: The illustrations below are very fresh, this is not even the alpha version. Most likely, they will fix a lot of changes by the time the final release comes out.

From year to year, the WordPress user interface has evolved (look at our article that shows the
development of the WordPress user interface from 2003 to 2009 ). In this issue, we finally see another major design update. The goal was to make it simpler and easier. Below you can see everything in the screenshots:

Writing an article
The concept in which the author of the post is not distracted by anything other than writing an article, was born quite a long time ago. In WordPress 3.1, the page for writing posts was slightly simplified, due to the fact that the Additional and other fields were hidden by default. In WordPress 3.2, the “free write” mode allows you to make the interface full-screen in order to fully indulge in writing text. The goal was an even easier and more reassuring interface.

Twenty Eleven Theme
Remember that with WordPress 3.0 a new default theme called Twenty Ten has been released? So, in WordPress 3.2 it is planned to announce a new default theme Twenty Eleven. This is done in order to diversify the standard themes that come with WP, and not to repeat the situation with Kubrick. For those who don't know, Kubrick has been the default theme for a long time. The new theme is presented in two colors:

The new Twenty Eleven theme will also have a new settings page that will allow you to change the color and background. (Um, you might think that this is a paid theme, but it is absolutely FREE !!!) - Respect the WordPress UI team.

Also made new templates for pages. By default, templates without sidebars (side panels) are used. There is also a version with sidebars and even a version with a slider. When testing on a local computer with him there were bugs, so we do not post screenshots yet.
One of the most anticipated was the addition to the Twenty Eleven theme of the images in the header (header), which will allow you to show random images on each page. Many wanted it in the previous version. It looks like this will be a very useful feature.
Automatic update
In principle, this function has no problems now, but there was a lot of work to do. In the new version, the automatic update will download and update only the files that have changed. This will undoubtedly speed up automatic updates for those users who use low-cost hosting.
Speed
Now WordPress still supports some old technologies at the kernel, in the new version it will not support them, which will make it more FAST! Nacin works with slow loading of PHP. In work as increase in speed of loading of admin, and improvements of FTP for faster updates.
New requirements for PHP and MySQL
WordPress 3.2 will require PHP 5.2.4+ and MySQL 5. Therefore, before upgrading to version 3.2, make sure your hosting supports these standards.
Quality WordPress Hosting already supports them. We recommend hosted on
HostGator . If you want to know whether your hosting supports the new version of WP - use the
WordPress Requirements Check plugin. This plugin will tell you if your hosting is ready for the new version. If not, ask the administration of your hosting in advance to prepare for the new release, or think about changing the hosting.
You can test all this yourself by
downloading the nightly build . Innovations are exciting. According to the plan, WordPress 3.2 will be released in the June 30, 2011 area.
