Security Updates for Firefox 4 Will No More

As you know, the release rate of major versions of the Google browser has such a high rate that, perhaps, in the near future, a situation will arise when the version of Chrome should be denoted by a three-digit number. Obviously, having become similar to Google programmers, the developers of the second most popular browser in the world, Mozilla Firefox, also changed the release schedule for their product versions: on March 22 of this year, the 4th version of Firefox was released and almost the other day - the fifth. Such a speed of release of new versions of both products - both Firefox and Chrome, undoubtedly, pleases users by giving them more and more opportunities to work effectively on the Internet, especially since the owners of the browser from the search giant do not even think about updating it - this is happening automatically. However, upgrading FireFox to the new version is similarly impossible. Thus, Mozilla’s decision to stop issuing security updates for the release of the 4th version of its browser looks at least premature, since very little time has passed since its release date. The eliminating 8 found vulnerabilities update 4.0.1, dated April 28, was the last - this is discussed in the mozilla.dev.planning group.
