Companies leave Second Life

Companies that have opened their offices in the Second Life game are starting to leave the virtual world. There are several reasons for this - many residents of Second Life are not at all interested in the commercial offers presented in this market, and besides, the one-time audience of the game is no more than 40 thousand people.

In particular, the virtual divisions of Sun Microsystems and Dell have ceased to function, have closed their "offices" and other companies.

"There is no reason to stay here," said Brian McGuinness, vice president of Aloft, a hotel business brand at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide. At the same time, he acknowledged that being in Second Life gave his company some ideas that can be implemented in the real world.
