Google starts testing AdSense for mobile sites

Some partners of the Google Adsense program have started receiving invitations to participate in beta testing of the new service - the Adsense for mobile program. The invitations say that Google has already “successfully completed the internal testing of the system” and is now ready to offer it to the public.

This program is designed to place contextual text ads on mobile versions of websites. The principal feature of mobile advertising, as it is easy to guess, will be the large-scale use of the payment model for each call. Actually, the links here can look like “Call: Phone Number”, which is quite logical. Instead of going to the advertiser's site, you are invited to call him immediately. The maximum number of ad modules on a page is one.

As stated in the informational section , pages created in a scripting server language, such as PHP, are suitable for locating mobile contextual advertising; tagged with one of the mobile markup languages: WML (WAP 1.x.), XHTML (WAP 2.0) and cHTML (imode, etc.). This is due to the fact that the Google crawler must be able to read the page content so that the system can determine the content to pick up contextual advertising.

The onset of contextual advertising on mobile phones continues in full swing. At the end of last year, testing of mobile advertising in Google search results began.
