Records Startup Weekend

On June 17-19, the 11th Russian Startup Weekend took place in the Digital October center, breaking the record for the number of participating projects. 29 experts of Glavstarta within two days managed to communicate with teams of 120 projects.

Startup Weekend began with a useful presentation by Arkady Moreynis (Glavstart), a question and answer session and interesting reports by Gaidar Magdanurov (Microsoft) and Ekaterina Skorobogatova (Facebook). Thanks to one of the participants, all this can be seen on the video


On Saturday, about 120 projects arrived at the working session, 56 reached the final.

Many experts who advised projects during the event, noted that the overall level of training of participants and their ideas has increased markedly. Lyubov Simonova, Almaz Capital Partners, after the second “pipe”, after talking with 63 projects, wrote that 17 of them have the right to life : “I sent someone straight to Peter Didenko (three), someone to send the form via the page Rambler Foundation. Someone told me to send a presentation - there is something to see. "

After the final presentations, Arkady Moreynis proposed investment from Glavstart to 6 projects:

1. Moth is a service that recommends clothes based on a psychological portrait.
2. Matcherz is a social service for finding people according to certain parameters.
3. Brogaming is a service that allows you to monitor the game activity of friends in the virtual and real worlds.
4. World Wine Web - mobile service for wine lovers, working on the basis of label recognition.
5. Translate-site - a service for translating websites into foreign languages.
6. ShopPoints is a service that helps retail stores attract customers.
