The hotel sued Google for search prompts when entering the hotel name.

Google received another lawsuit (I wonder how many of them, these claims, were filed against the corporation?) From a small Irish hotel. The hotel is really not the largest and most famous, but the administration was unpleasantly surprised when she noticed that when you enter the hotel name in the search box, several search prompts are displayed, one of which shows the word “receivership” next to the hotel name. This word is quite difficult to translate into Russian, but the term literally means “bankruptcy estate management”. That is, a potential client, entering the name of the hotel, could see this word, and decide that the hotel had become bankrupt. It is clear that in such a hotel no one will go.

Now the hotel owner (its name is Ballymascanlon House Hotel, Golf and Leisure Club) has filed a lawsuit against the corporation, demanding that the term be removed from the search hint regarding the establishment. In general, it’s not for the first time for a corporation to find itself in a similar situation - previously, quite a lot of lawsuits against Google were related to these search hints. For example, several fairly high-profile cases were associated with online piracy, when clues appeared in the search box that directly violated the laws of some countries (well, for example, something like “Salt Film” download torrent ”).

I wonder how this business will develop with the hotel. It is likely that the corporation will still win a lawsuit, and in the future will add to the user agreement any item that allows you to avoid such claims in the future. However, if each company or individual finds something unpleasant in search prompts, and then file a lawsuit, the company's lawyers simply will not have time to consider more serious cases.
